The Anchor Club is a high school girls' organization sponsored by the local Pilot Club. The service club is for girls from the junior and senior classes with a specified grade point average as adopted in the bylaws. The Anchor Club promotes initiative, leadership and personal integrity, builds respect for others through helping others, emphasizes living and working together and the importance of home and family, serves the school and the community, and prepares the members to be useful citizens. The main work of the Anchor Club is service to the school and the entire community of New Albany.

The sponsor of the New Albany High School Anchor Club is Carey Crain.

 

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) provides students with the business and leadership training needed for success in the world of business. The NAVC's Business and Computer Technology course is involved with FBLA.

 

FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become strong leaders in their families, careers and communities. The NAVC's Early Childhood Services and EducationCulinary and Related Foods Technology, and Family and Consumer Sciences courses are involved with FCCLA. 

 

FFA

FFA is an intercurricular program that is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young people by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. The NAVC's Ag Science courses are involved with FFA.

TSA | Website


HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) - HOSA provides students an opportunity to test their knowledge at the district, state, and national level while meeting students from across the state/nation with similar career interest. The NAVC's Allied Health course is involved with HOSA.

The AFJROTC program provides an aerospace science program and citizenship training for high school youth. Enrollment in the program is open to all young people who are in grades 9-12, physically fit, and U.S. citizens.

The New Albany High School SADD Club's mission is to provide students with the best prevention and intervention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, impaired driving, teen violence, teen depression, suicide and other destructive decisions. SADD's goal is not to punish or alienate those students who make unfortunate choices but rather aims to inform, educate, support and empower young people to make positive decisions.

TSA

TSA (Technology Student Association) is composed of over 100,000 elementary, middle, and high school students in 2,000 schools spanning 47 states. TSA is supported by educators, parents, and business leaders who believe in the need for a technologically literate society. The NAVC's STEMDigital Media, and Technology Applications courses are involved with TSA.
