Art I is a hands on course, which introduces students to art appreciation, art history, and art criticism. Students will also be introduced to the studio arts through drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Art one is a prerequisite for Gifted Art II.

Gifted Art II is an in-depth study of art. Students will be expected to begin portfolio development and participation in art competitions and exhibits. Students will work primarily with acrylic paints and charcoal. Students must complete certain criteria to be admitted into the artistically gifted program.

Prerequisite: Gifted Art II

Gifted Art III-IV is a studio course with emphasis on portfolio development. Students will further this knowledge and understanding of art history and appreciation through research and visual presentations. Three-dimensional work will be explored more in this class. Students must complete certain criteria to be admitted into the artistically gifted program.

This course is a performing choral group designed to expose students to and gain some appropriate level of experience with listening to, analyzing, describing, creating, and evaluating music within the constraints of the choral rehearsal situation. Students will be performing for various functions during the year as well as competing on the district and state level.

This course is designed to provide students with an in-depth learning experience of the theatrical process as an art form. Students will learn the history, structure and varieties of drama as well as produce a one-act play.

Gifted 9, 10, 11, 12

This course is an advanced performing drama group designed to help students further their talents. Students will experience directing, theatre management, script development, and acting. Students must complete certain criteria to be admitted into the performing arts gifted program.
