Brief Personal Background
Both of my children attend New Albany Elementary Schools and have done so since Pre-K
What do you like best about teaching here?
Community support and involvement in all that our schools have to offer. From city government, churches of all denominations, civic clubs and private citizens, we have excellent interest and support in all that we do and all that we dream of doing.
What are a few of the most exciting things you teach?
I love all aspects of art, but the most exciting media we explore include sculpture, printmaking and photography.
What activities, clubs, sports do you assist with?
I work with the Maroon and White school newspaper and the broadcast class, "In the Dawghouse". I also help with Frog-a-Nanny, Krewe of Grenouilles and the school musical every year.
Which school event do you look forward to the most every year?
I love the annual NAHS art show at the Union County Heritage Museum, Frog-a-Nanny, the school musical, speech and debate tournament, Bulldog Relays and pep rallies!
What student accomplishments do you think best reflect the mission of this school?
By far, Frog-a-Nanny. This is the one day every year where ALL students are given the opportunity to participate, succeed and make a difference in someone else's life. I can't think of another day more special and worthy.
