Construction (I & II) is a program of instruction and hands-on experiences designed to help students develop the knowledge and skill needed to secure entry level employment in carpentry, brick masonry, plumbing, electrical wiring, and related areas in the construction industry or to continue their training in the field of construction.

Students taking Construction Technology are studying the Contren Learning Series, sponsored by the National Center for Construction Education and Research.

Construction Technology students are involved in the Core Curriculum.

Construction II students study Level I Construction. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate, a certification card, and their names are entered into a job bank in Gainesville, FL.

They will be Nationally Certified when all modules are completed.

Articulation
In agreement with Northeast Mississippi Community College, students completing the two year Building Trades Program with a B average may receive college credit for:

Mr. Robbins, Instructor
Mr. Robbins graduated from New Albany High School in 1980 and has a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Ole Miss. He was a residential contractor for ten years. Mr. Robbins resides in New Albany with his wife and three children.

Admission Requirements
10th, 11th, and 12th grade students are eligible to participate in this program.
