Digital Media Technology emphasizes the techniques and tools used in digital media and the creative design of such media. The course focuses on the basic areas of computer graphics, multimedia, animation and video production. The students are also exposed to state-of-the-art equipment and software such as:

  • 18 Apple Mac Pro desktop stations
  • 7 WaCom graphing tablet monitors
  • HD Digital & Video Cameras
  • Adobe Creative Suite 4 software
  • Apple's Final Cut Pro editing software
Goal
To provide students with a portfolio of work as well as possible Adobe Certified Associate Certification and Final Cut Pro Level 1 Certification (2nd Year).

Careers
There are many interesting and diverse careers in digital media. We hope our students will be successful in finding careers in web design, TV stations, newspapers, graphic design studios, advertising firms or even gaming companies.

Mrs. Biffle, Teacher
Mallorie Biffle is a native of Pontotoc County and has an Associate's Degree in Business Education from Northeast Mississippi Community College. She received her Bachelor of Science from Mississippi State University with a degree in Technology Teacher Education. She is married to Trae Biffle. She began teaching in 2009.


Admission Requirements
Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 are eligible to participate in this program. It is recommended that students have an overall B average.
