Digital Media Technology emphasizes the techniques and tools used in digital media and the creative design of such media. The course focuses on the basic areas of computer graphics, multimedia, animation and video production. The students are also exposed to state-of-the-art equipment and software such as:

7 WaCom graphing tablet monitors
HD Digital & Video Cameras
Adobe Creative Suite 4 software
Apple's Final Cut Pro editing software
Digital Media includes the foundation skills necessary to be successful in the digital media and graphic design industries and also emphasizes real-world, hands-on practice and keyboard shortcuts.
Content such as photography, graphic design, print production, and animation will be offered to students in the first year program while video editing and audio production will be offered to students in the second year program.

There are many interesting and diverse careers in digital media. We hope our students will be successful in finding careers in web design, TV stations, newspapers, graphic design studios, advertising firms or even gaming companies.

Mr. Russell is originally from Pontotoc. He graduated from North Pontotoc in 2001 & from Ole Miss is 2005 with a degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies. He is Adobe Certified in Photoshop, Flash, & Dreamweaver.
Mr. Russell is married to Paige Russell and they have one son named Whitt.
Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 are eligible to participate in this program. It is recommended that students have an overall B average.
